I need to begin this by confessing. I crafted this together with my three year old without any plan or sketch. Before breakfast. Quickly, just making it, without even thinking and talking. Maybe just the occasional 'be careful, scissors are sharp'. Turned out great, right? It was great, like therapy. (Hey, maybe we can already copyright the concept of home made handcrafted therapy, it sure sounds like a vision for the future!)
So if you want to hang it in your workspace or just
CARDBOARD
PAINT + BRUSHES, MARKERS
DENSE FABRIC or FELT
NEEDLE, THREAD
DOUBLE-SIDED FOAM TAPE
ANYTHING ELSE TO DECORATE
So he said he wanted a dragon (go figure) and I invented one on a piece of cardboard (from a parcel I had received the day before), we painted it together and had a lot of fun while at it. Then we cut up the drawing plus some sort of a huge pocket from oilcloth. I punched holes through the oilcloth and cardboard using the tip of the scissors, then I stitched the pocket onto our lovely new friend. I set it on the wall with small pieces of double-sided foam tape and...
... voilĂ ! One funky dragon to hold pencils and other treasures, made from scratch. Free fun to keep you motivated and happy throughout the day. If you were to make this project, what silhouette would you choose?
Well, hoping for more inspired carefree mornings for all of us. See you soon!
Roaaar, Cris.
